The dual dimple chin Chaco hero Diganth completing major portions for ‘E Preethi’ in USA has accepted another Kannada film ‘Puthra’ in the direction of Umakanth. Shuba Punja the heroine much sought after in Kannada cinema is playing the female lead in this CG Pal presents Peter Joseph and Anthony Pal debut production.

From ‘Puthra’ the talented Malavika Avinash is coming back to cinema after a long gap. Avinash, Sunder Raj, Tennis Krishna are also in the cast.

Director Umakanth has directed films like Madhuve, Mr Putswamy, Anuraga Sangama among 11 Kannada films he has directed. He has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues also for the film. There are six songs in this film penned by Ram Narayan. Vidyasagar and Ramesh Raj are scoring the music. This film will be shot in 50 days.
